Personal computer security experts claim it takes 30 minutes or less for an unprotected new PC that is connected to the internet to become infected with a virus or other malware. It makes sense to install security software. So how do you choose from the vast array on the market?
One option is "best of breed" standalone software packages, which address specific threats, such as anti-virus packages, spam blockers or internet firewall. But such packages do not always work well together, so an integrated security suite may be best. |
