Malware Overview This worm arrives on a system either downloaded from the Internet or dropped by another malware. It may also arrive via MSN Messenger. When executed, it replaces the valid MSN Messenger executable file MSNMSGR.EXE with a copy of itself, while the original file is renamed as MSN.EXE. This routine ensures that this worm is executed every time an affected user attempts to launch MSN Messenger. This worm also executes the file, MSN.EXE, and launches the MSN Messenger application to avoid immediate detection. It propagates via the MSN Messenger application. It sends the following message to all online contacts found in the messenger application: is that you on that photo?! :| http://www.{BLOCKED}22.com/photos.php?photo=photo211.jpg Clicking on the indicated URL may download on the affected system either a copy of itself or other possibly malicious files. Users are thus advised not to click on any suspicious link even if the instant message appears to come from a trusted source. As of this writing, however, the said URL is unavailable.
